"Allah knows I'm innocent" said Andal Ampatuan Jr. the primary suspect in the Maguindanao massacre as he faced reporters at his NBI detention cell earlier today. The former mayor of Datu Unsay town in Maguindanao also appealed for a fair trial and urged the "real" culprits to come out and clear his name.“Isa lang ang hinihiling ko, fair trial lang. Alam ko 100 percent mananalo ako kung bibigyan lang ako ng fair trial. Ito ang hinihiling ko sa gobyerno at sa humahawak ng kaso ko. Napagbintangan lang ko dito. Wala akong kasalanan. Lumabas na dapat ang may kasalanan."

The former mayor invited members of the media to his detention cell to show to them that there is no special treatment given to him as previously reported. Separated by a steal fence, NBI officials though only permitted the members of the media as far as the visitors’ area pointing to security concerns as the reason.
To the surprise of reporters present during that short interview, the accused answered the reporters in Filipino which goes against the claim of his lawyers during his arraignment that he only speaks Maguindanaoan. Well, there goes another nail on your coffin kid. This revelation further cements the claim of the prosecution lawyers that the defense is resorting to delaying tactics.
He also added that he prays 5 times a day. Though I strongly doubt that it would help him.
Everybody knows that he is guilty.
