21 bodies including the wife and supporters of Buluan town vice mayor Esmael "Toto" Mangudadatu were found dead in Maguindanao this afternoon. The victims of this election related violence were en route to file the certificate of candidacy of Mangudadatu when they were abducted by around 100 armed men allegedly under the control of Andal Ampatuan, who ironically is the governor of the said province.
The election is still next year, but it seems that the killings have already commenced.
